So, the main attraction of the Swinging Bridge area is a great view of Yosemite Fall reflected in the Merced River. I've taken numerous photos, but never in winter.
The snow plastered to the granite cliffs kept peeling off with startlingly loud reverberations throughout the valley.

Isn't the East entrance closed?
Luck! I wanted to view fire damage from last year in El Portal, but instead I ended up in Yosemite Valley.
The Highway 140 entrance was open, no chains required! So I drove up and did my usual loop. Didn't bother trying to get to the Visitor Center area.
