Alas, it wasn't at all clear during our stay, so we never did get to see Mount Hood. Nice flowers, though.

We left Eugene and drove up Highway 5 for a few days in Portland. On the way a Google search led us to Luis's Taqueria in Woodburn. It was good, but the al pastor didn't seem quite as tasty as the Bay Area version we're used to. However, the lengua was very tasty.

Mame (mah-may): an idiosyncratic sushi restaurant: varied (and delicious) items extremely skillfully prepared. (The small air conditioner, though, was not quite up to the blistering Eugene heat.)
