BTW, last year I was wondering about possible erosion after the goats had passed through, but since there was hardly any rain, erosion didn't come to pass.

We noticed the trucks carrying the goats driving up the street, so we quickly headed on up. We got there just in time to see the goats jumping off the truck, ready to start on their fire prevention duties.

I don't think that these photos have been posted on the blog before. One of my fellow servicemen in the U.S. Army was from Hyannisport, MA. He had somehow acquired a small sailboat and then somehow convinced me that it was a good idea to sail from the main island of Okinawa to one of the very smaller islands nearby.

Crazy, of course, since I can't swim, and we had no life vests.
