There's been an uptick in coyote sightings recently. I saw two of them the other day up on the fire road where I had a previous encounter. The one in the lead kept on going and vanished over a ridge, but the one in the rear was a little more curious. When I took the second photo all I could see was the animal's silhouette. It wasn't until I opened the file in Photoshop that I discovered that we were both staring at each other!
