Road & Cloud

Road & Cloud, North Carolina  1999

Mike drove back and forth through the North Carolina countryside, through the small towns and cotton fields, searching for the correct combination of road and cloud.

I'm enjoying all of these Eastern pictures. I know the roads in California are made of gold, but are the roads in North Carolina really lavender?

Yes.

As the old folk saying goes:

"The roads in North Carolina are really Lavender,
And not only that, they're really . . . um . . . really . . ."

Uh oh. As is well known, "Lavender rhymes with clavender, which is Latin for watering can." Hard to fit that in.
