L.A. Sky

Skyline, Clouds - Los Angeles  2012

In an unexpected ironic twist, the air quality in Los Angeles earlier this month was far superior to San Francisco's. So, maybe an anomaly? One can only hope.

It's an amazing distance to the mountains in that photo. Wow! And Century City is so dense.

It's a real surprise that the sky is there at all.

As I recall, back in the 50's the sky wasn't there.

Just a kind of greyish dome.

That's what I remember in the '50s and 60's, too.

There's a Grateful Dead lyric that says, "The sky was yellow and the sun was blue." It could almost be in reference to the mid-century Lost Angeles sky.
