Some clouds appeared just as the sun was going down in order to provide the appropriate dramatic backdrop. Mike used his Nikon D90 whenever possible, with the Canon G12 used for shooting from the car. Alas, Mike's lens options don't include enough reach on the telephoto side to really do any serious bird photography, so he concentrated on the landscape. (Same as in 2008.)
