Tenaya Lake, A.M.

Tenaya Lake - Yosemite  2012

On August 23rd, Mike decided to commemorate his memorable 2011 PCT horse adventure by covering some of the same ground this year.

But on foot.

On the way to the trailhead he stopped and took this photograph of Tenaya Lake from Olmsted Point. The haze might be due to some controlled burns taking place in the park.

Lovely photo!

We had a great time in Yosemite! Unfortunately, we weren't able to visit the Tioga Road area, since the house where we were staying at was too far away. (Another trip, perhaps!). If you happen to visit the park again, the Sentinel Dome hike is definitely worth doing. The views were fantastic!

Unfortunate about the hantavirus outbreak. I'm guessing you camped in a tent?

Yes . . . a tent. Image here.

This was at the White Wolf Campground. Interesting that at least 50% of the campers were from Germany. (A guesstimate.)
