Yard Sale

I took this as I was walking in a Hollywood neighborhood. I liked the clouds, the palm tree, and the fact that I could work in a self-portrait. But to then go on and take dozens of photos of other yard sales? Yawn . . . I don't think so.

But the prevailing doctrine is that the photographer needs to be engaged in projects such as that, because . . . well, I don't know exactly why.

Mike, I come to see your photos every morning because its a great way to start my day with a smile. If I didn't know your work I'd be surprised at how often I actually smile when I see the newest photo (clicked on for enlargement, of course.) Thanks. Love this one.

And I do enjoy what you write: your comments, descriptions, perspectives, info, etc.

Thanks! There should actually be more text, but . . .

You've always been a man of few words...

but what about noting this picture as a "self-portrait"? There was another that didn't get the tag, either. Is there a reason or just oversight?

Yikes!, as they say.

Applying labels can be a hit 'n miss thing . . .
