I always go on a walk around the area, going down towards the KOA, then looping back to the casino.
Please note that I tend to call all desert plants "sagebrush." Also, it seems that the desert plants are definitely encroaching on the sidewalk.

Looks like a sidewalk to nowhere.
Cities build sidewalks like this where they expect development to spread.

Yes. There's already a new Masonite factory there (see yesterday's post.)
At one point I saw similar sidewalks outside of Clovis and Fresno. That was before 2008.
