Brooklyn Bridge

Brooklyn Bridge, Statue of Liberty - New York  2018

Brooklyn Bridge - New York  2018

One of our NYC goals was to walk across the Brooklyn Bridge. We took the ferry to Greenpoint, walked around, then caught another ferry to DUMBO, passing underneath the bridge. Nice view as we approached, with the Statue of Liberty punctuating the horizon. A quick stop in an Italian restaurant for coffee and bathroom break, then we looped underneath and up to the bridge.

Very crowded! But we made it across!

Mike:

The day Merry and I walked the Brooklyn Bridge, it was drizzling, so there were
very few walkers.

Memorably, as we were waiting on the Manhattan side, a woman with a huge
Irish Wolfhound strode by, and we met her dog, which proceeded to rise up
and rest his paw on my shoulder! I'm 6'4", so this felt pretty weird, and funny!

I was amazed at how old-fashioned the bridge was--very vintage.

We loved it.

Thanks for the comment!

I had a similar experience with a German Shepherd in Chico. But as I'm 5'6" at best, it wasn't particularly weird.
