British Columbia and San Francisco / Missing Camera

ATM Machine - Vancouver  2017

Luggage Carousel (SFO) - San Francisco  2017

Two iPhone panorama shots.

Top: Hali at an ATM machine, Mike holding the iPhone while his Canon G5X dangles around his neck. Alas, that's one of the last glimpses we'll have of the Canon, which went missing - somehow - in the departures lounge of the Vancouver airport. (!!!???) Although it wasn't always the most reliable camera, Mike used it quite extensively in several locations, from Utah to Japan to Yosemite.

Bottom: A luggage carousel at San Francisco's SFO airport. The funny thing is, Mike didn't realize the Canon was missing until he arrived home and looked in his daypack. No camera.

What a horrible thing!

As in, someone reached into your backpack and took it?

Sort of like being mugged.

Hope you didn't lose too many images. They can be more important than the camera.

The last thing we had stolen: A large red tail-light from our old ("new") VW bug, happened
during the night. Cost $200 to replace.

Does thievery increase during hard times?

Thanks for your concern!

But . . . I strongly suspect that the culprit is myself. We had gotten to the airport extra early (new security procedures) so were sitting around for quite some time, moving here and there etc. I had probably got the camera out to review images and just left it behind in one of our moves.

Luckily, I had just switched out memory cards the day before, so no great masterpieces got lost.
