Yeah, I know what you mean. There's an orchard near my home, and I seem to prefer taking photos there in the winter and spring. I'm most attracted to the patterns and rows the bare trees (or newly blooming) form up and over the hillside. Once the foliage grows in, I tend to loose interest in the dense mass of green.

For some reason I'm always taking photos in Napa & Sonoma during the winter. (At one point wine tasting in Napa was my Superbowl Sunday tradition.)
