Two views of the Oracle entry in the America's Cup race, being held even as we speak on San Francisco Bay. Bottom view showing in the distance the Emirates New Zealand entry.

We went to a very new, very loud restaurant with no sound absorption in the design. When I talked with the server about the discomfort of the clangy loudness and asked if they were planning to change that aspect of the otherwise very good restaurant, she said, "No, this is modern" as if that would make it legit and attractive to come again.
The America's Cup sailboat concept doesn't appear to elegant, just modern.

Let me get this straight. You're saying that clangy loudness is somehow not the height of sophistication . . . ???
