Mike visited the famous Point Lobos ripple-rock area and took some ripple-rock photos. No tripod, thank you.
It was early enough in the day for him to get a ripple-rock shadow snap. Also, he was able to skillfully avoid the incoming surf so as to keep his feet dry.

This is my new favorite of your self-portraits. First, because it's wonderful, and second, because it's reminiscent of one we took of our shadows on a creek bed.
Both are good reasons.
Looking at it again... man, your shadow on the rocks fits so perfectly with the ripples! Subtle, perfect.
