For some reason I've never explored the grounds of the Dominican University here in Marin County.

    Interesting question. I remember a talk Mr. Everson gave to my (Dominican-run) high school religious class in Los Angeles. This would have been around, oh, 1958-59.

    I asked him to define the meaning of "beat" (as in, Beat Generation). Alas, can't recall what his answer was.
