Here it was: a break in the reeds opening up to an unparalleled view of innumerable birds taking off, landing, and hanging-out.
Making a lot of noise, as well. It's interesting that yesterday's and today's shots are the only ones in the birding sequence that actually show birds.
Hmmm, but I see birds (or at least a bird) in every photo except the "Sunset, Trees" shot. There is some beautiful light in the Sacramento Valley!
