On our way driving down to Los Angeles last month. I always like to stop at this particular viewpoint. Much more rain than expected!

    There are some interesting landforms along I-5, but I never seem to have the opportunity of stopping to investigate them. Also, over on the eastern side of the hills in the East Bay, around Martinez, there are some very attractive oaky slopes, but they're not easy to access on foot.

    And also, Pacheco Pass. I've only been there once, but should probably go back.
