January Birding: Sunrise

Sunrise - Sacramento Valley  2012

The birders gathered in the chilly pre-dawn darkness at the local Gridley Starbucks (!) for coffee and a bite to eat.

Then, off to Grey Lodge and a view of the just-emerging sun as it crept over the reeds.
