Hike Down to Bubbs Creek

Lake, Sunrise - Sierra Nevada  2005

Canyon View - Sierra Nevada  2005

From the notes:

Up at 6 AM. 44º.

7:35—Sunrise.
8:15—Leave campsite. Some mosquitos, last night & this AM.
9:00—Bullfrog Lake. Breakfast.
9:40—JMT. Big, disconcerting descent, ears continually popping. Somehow I hadn’t expected this. Legs quivering, feet sore etc etc. Jeez . . .

[First note: The descent shouldn't have been unexpected - it's clearly visible on the topo map. So I was ready for the dropoff during my 2007 Bishop Pass hike.]

[Second note: Wikipedia lists "mosquitos" as an alternate to "mosquitoes." Personally, I think that the "e" in the plural spelling is ridiculous. Same for potatos. And tomatos.]
